We need your quilts please!

Hi Quilters!

Home Grown Quilts is host to our bi-annual

Outdoor Quilt Show

In 2023 we hung 250 amazing quilts and afghans outside along Main Street! Hundreds of people milled around enjoying the display, visiting 13 amazing vendors, and the fun activities we had going downtown..... and this year we are hoping for more!

Our Outdoor Quilt show will be held Saturday, Sept 6th 2025 from 9am-4pm in beautiful Grangeville, Idaho

We would absolutely LOVE to display your quilts. Please bring your quilts to either of our locations in Lewiston or Grangeville. Remember- THIS iS NOT a juried quilt show. There will not be a single member of the quilt police attending (promise). This is a SAFE place to share the creations you loved to make.

If you would like to vend at our show, please contact Jody at homegrownquilts@yahoo.com

Side note: We are looking for volunteers to help us set up and take down the quilts. Without volunteers we can't do this event.
Set up starts at 5am, which as we all know is the time only crazy people enjoy being awake- but we do have a delicious reward of fresh baked goods from Crema Bakery- so it makes things a little more happy.
- bring a ladder and a pair of scissors and your sassy pants if you have them.

Toke down starts at 4pm.

With many hands we can make light work.

----- Don't forget to see below the special class that our QT Fabric Rep, Tracey Stinger is hosting for the Quilt Walk!----

Grangeville Community Quilters has officially started!
Come join us every Wednesday from 9:30-11:30 (or longer if you want to keep plugging away) at Home Grown Quilt in Grangeville to build and create comfort in the shape of a warm quilty hug for our fellow community members!
We need people to cut and make quilt kits, people to sew quilt tops, people to put the quilt together (top/batting/backing), people to bind quilts, people to donate good quality quilting fabric and batting. Together we can serve and aid the people in our town in their time of need.

Side note: We have loads of beautiful fabrics you have gifted to this mission, but we are in current need of batting. We will take your batting scraps or whatever else you can spare.

*****************
On this note: Did you know that our Lewiston Home Grown Quilts location already has a group that makes quilt kits for comfort quilts, sews them together, and delivers them to organizations in the Lewiston/Clarkston community? If you have extra time to donate (or extra good quality quilting fabric) - stop by Home Grown Quilts in Lewiston. They have quilt kits already for you to grab and go! Many hands make for light work. Be a helping hand today!

We have partnered with a few fabulous machine embroidery companies to bring you way to shop online AND still support your local quilt shop!

Due to the nature of embroidery, sometimes getting your favorite downloads to amazing projects puts local brick and mortar quilt shops in a bind.

Classes
NOTE:  All class supplies purchased through Home Grown Quilts is 15% off with your paid class fee…sweet deal right?

A few things with classes to be mindful of:
*Please be at least 10 minutes early to all classes so that you can be set up and ready for class to begin on time.

*Please have your class project cut out PRIOR to class. If you need help understanding instructions, we are available to guide you through. Please come in and make arrangements for help BEFORE the day of class.

Classes are a retreat- for a lot of people it's therapy of sorts. It's a time to have fun, learn together, and relax (unless you have a seam ripper in hand.) - Please be respectful of your fellow retreaters. While we love kids, and we have lots of them ourselves- most small children (such as toddlers/pre-k) seem to find our classes a bit boring. We have had some class members vocalize the frustration it brings when a relaxing class gets not so relaxing because of small people being unhappy or bored.  Let's let everyone have a happy experience! Unless a child is an active participant of the class, please try and find a different place for them to hang out.
