Summer Friendship Slice n’ Dice
June 14th through Sept 30th
Only 6 Participants, so sign up early!
This is how it works:
1.       You will choose your base fabric (1/2 yard)
2.       On a 8-1/2 X 11 paper, write a little bit about yourself and what you have in mind for your piece. For example you might want to say, “I want this to look like landscape.”  Or, “I was thinking of an ocean theme.”  Or, include a colored ‘inspiration’ photo to give color guidance.
3.       Please put your 8 ½ x 11 paper that has your bio and block “vision” description in a plastic sleeve.  We’ll call this your Travel Journal.
4.       Put your fabric in a zip lock bag (two-gallon zip locks work best).
5.       We are planning for 12 participants in this Friendship Slice and Dice; 6 people from Home Grown Quilts in Grangeville and 6 from Grammy G’s Quilt Shop in Palouse.
6.       Starting on Friday, June 14th, each participant will go to their local quilt shop (Grammy G’s or Home Grown Quilts) where you will receive another participant’s fabric.  Slice and insert the fabric anywhere on each ½ yard piece of fabric, add something about yourself to the Travel Journal. Try to keep in mind the block owners’ vision of what they would like their block theme to be.
7.       Each Friday you will bring back the block you just sliced and diced and pick up another participant’s block.  This will be repeated until all 12 blocks have been sliced and diced by 12 different participants.

8.       The quilt shops will maintain check off lists of who did what to keep things in order. (yay us!)
