Row by Row and New Class!

Hi Quilters!
We sure love how many visitors have popped by this past week for their Row by Row Pattern. We've loved chatting with you and hearing about your journeys (....and gotten a little jealous at some of your fabulous destinations!)

But there are many of you who don't know about this unique Row by Row challenge- and we don't want you to be left out of the loop. Everyone needs some fun!

Row by Row!
starts Sunday, June 21 (and ends Sept 8th)
over 2500 shops in the US and Canada!
Stop in and pick up your FREE Row Pattern
(most are 9" x 36")
purchase a KIT for that row and the pattern is INCLUDED!
Create a quilt using at least 8 different 2015 rows from 8 different 2015 participating RxR shops and be the first to bring it into a participating shop to win a stack of 25 fat quarters (6-1/4 yards of fabric!).  Use that shop's row in your quilt and win a bonus prize!
If you bring your completed quilt (quilted, bound and labeled) into Home Grown Quilts, we'll give you a $50 gift certificate!

Get ready, get set......ROW!!

(Don't forget to look at the FAQs, too)

We have an AMAZING instructor coming all the way from Vale, Arizona to teach TWO classes at Home Grown Quilts- Swan Sheridan, owner of Swan Amity Studios! We are lucky to have her come and share her talents (you may remember we had her trunk show last summer).

Water Coloring Fabric Class
Wed, July 15th @ 10am-2pm
Cost: $45 (or FREE with Class Pass)

Swan swears you do not need artistic talent to do this class. She also promises you will thoroughly enjoy this class. This class provides the fundamentals of creating watercolor paintings on PFD fabrics. Students use both Inktense color blocks and pencils to draw their design and blend color, making the most of their creativity. Class also covers fixing errors and preparing the painting for quilting.

Here is a student's finished painting after her last class (and the student swore she had no talent at all).

Free Motion Quilt Class
Thurs, July 16th @ 10-2pm
Cost: $45 (or FREE with class pass)

Swan has her own amazing unique style of Free motion that she is willing to share. If you have seen any of her skills, you will RUN to sign up for this class! Filling those small spaces and creating texture in spaces of all size often calls for micro-quilting. Using simple and familiar stippling concepts, micro-quilting becomes a readily available technique that machine quilters are sure to love. This class focuses on three basic stipple shapes that can be manipulated into a variety of micro-quilting fills.

Swan will also have a trunk show on both days of new projects and patterns that combine that with some pattern signing times as well as some Q&A regarding techniques!

Call us at 208-983-0254 to reserve your spot for one or both classes!

We'll see you soon!
