208-983-0254 : 208-743-0503-------------------------------------------------------------- We have a CORNY idea for a bit of fun... are you ready for it? Home Grown Quilts is going to be doing an ugly fabric challenge with a small catch.....
You bring US the ugly fabric and YOU get to say if Jody, Brian, Breezi, Lezlie, or Gayle will have to make a quilt with that "gorgeous" piece in it.
From now until October 1st we will be accepting your ugly fabric (any size, any shape, any color)
Whatever fabric is given to us will have to be used in a quilt that it at least 50"x50"
We have until March 1st to complete our quilts.
To go along with this fun- For $1 per vote- You will get the opportunity to vote on who you think will make the best quilt with the ugly fabric.
In March we will be hosting a reveal dinner and only those who have donated fabric and/or paid $1 to vote will be invited to attend.
The Ugly Fabric quilts will be the door prizes at the dinner!
Fun, right? You hold the key to this challenge.

Come join Kathleen and Breezi for some all night fun! Bring and treat and play till you drop! The Friday Night Sewcial is $10. For your $10 you will receive DINNER and $5 in store credit (good for that night only). This class fills up fast, so don't delay in reserving your seat.

Bring your crocheting, knitting, tatting, weaving, felting, and anything in-between. Share your knowledge and skills with each other, ask questions, engage in conversation, and learn new things! We will offer Fiber Friends at least monthly…possibly twice a month. 
HoopSister's 2019 Fleur De Lis Quilt Class
Lewiston:Friday September 27th and Saturday September 28th
Instructor: Brian Medsker
Class Fee: $199 + Supplies
We are so excited to be offering the HoopSisters EmbroidaBlock of the Month for 2019 - Fleur de Lis. If you have an embroidery machine with an embroidery field of at least 5", you will have so much fun making this quilt. All of the piecing and quilting is done in the hoop using your embroidery machine. There are 5 block sizes to choose from ranging from 5" up to 9". Depending on your embroidery field and desired quilt size, you can make a wall hanging up to a bed sized quilt. As with all of our embroidery classes, this is a great way to get to know your machine better and make an amazing quilt! Class sign up fee is $199. The class fee pays for the embroidery files. With your sign up you are eligible to receive the Border CD at 1/2 price (Reg. $69.99). The class fee does not include the fabrics. You get to choose your own! We can't wait to see what everyone decides to use! Come see our beautiful sample in Lewiston. We are offering two days each month to come and work on your masterpiece with Brian. You are welcome to stop by any time during our business hours from 10-5 (Friday) and 10-3 (Saturday). You can come in one or both days- whatever works for your schedule. You can also join in making this quilt at any time! We know summer gets busy, and we don't want you to feel limited or overwhelmed.
Hoop Sisters Retreat Classes
Lewiston: Friday September 27th / Saturday September 21st

Class Fee: $35 fee for collection of embroidery files and $10 class fee (Class fee is waived if you have a class pass)
Come join us for our HoopSister Retreat Classes! You can pick from any of our available Retreat themes from 2018-2019! Make this class into what you want it to be! We have two dates available each month for you to come and do these HoopSister retreats. You can come in one or both days- whatever works best for your schedule. Below are examples of what you can choose- but we have so many more designs available too! As with all of our embroidery classes, this is a great way to get to know your machine better and make amazing things!

Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies This magical quilt is just the bees knees. Come learn how to make this pieced quilt- and while it looks tricky, it is all straight lines and the instructions are spelled out in simple detail. This pattern comes in a 90X90- 9 block arrangement, a 4 block arrangement, and 26 1/2" square pillow arrangement. You will love how it comes together so nicely.
Suzy's Sack Class

Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies Okay, Seriously, how cute are these little pouches. Great for storing any little trinkets you want to take with you.. and they come together SO QUICKLY.
3 hour See-Into Project Bags

If you haven't gotten a chance to meet Cate yet, you are in for a treat! She is so amazing and we know you will love her to pieces. Cate made this super fun pattern and whipped up close to a *million in an afternoon (*slight exaggeration... it was closer to like 10, but who's counting) Come check out the sample in the shop! ~You can make these bags in any size. ~You can use sport mesh in place of vinyl. ~Zippers with a wider tape are easier to sew and don’t require a zipper foot. ~Zipper length depends on whether you want to have the opening the length or width of the bag. 
Home Grown Quilt Class

Words of encouragement, words of wisdom, and a reminder that families can be stronger together. We will be doing the 'Choose Happy" block in class. Once you master the applique technique, you will be well on your way.

Students will learn step-by-step how to construct a quilt, including selecting fabrics for your quilt project, piecing, borders, binding, and even machine quilting (stitch in the ditch). Come to Home Grown Quilts to see samples of the quilt you will be making! NOTE: Students must know how to use their sewing machines prior to class starting. It is also highly recommended that students bring a quarter inch foot and a walking foot to class. See class handout for further information. Big Sky Bloom Quilt Class

Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies This quilt is just so happy. It's fresh and reminds us of all things delightful. Learn how to use the 60degree diamond ruler- and embrace your inner sewing triangles lover. Nothing on this quilt is appliqued- it's all pieced.
**Each class has a Supply List. There may be additional class costs for special sewing supplies, such as patterns, or special rulers, etc. Fabric requirements will be listed. Once you register for your class and receive your Supply List, you will qualify to receive a 15% discount on all required supplies. To receive the discount, you must have your Supply List with you when you make your purchase. NOTE: Students are required to have their own patterns and tools during classes. This enables the classes to stay on the curriculum schedule rather than having the class wait while students borrow supplies from each other.**
