April Class/Activities Info:

 
  In-Store Easter Egg Hunt!
Come in the shop during the week of April 2-7 and find one of the many Easter Eggs hidden throughout the shop that you may open when you make a purchase.  Who knows what treasures are hidden in the eggs…anything from yummy candies and chocolate to a coupon worth 20% off any item in the shop!




Penelope X-Block Quilt Class
For this 54” X 68” quilt, Cathie Orr will teach you how to use the X-Block ruler, which then also makes a variety of other awesome X-block quilts.

         
Greeting Card Classes
Judi will be teaching you how to make 5 really cute floral cards on April 5^th.  On April 26^th, she will be teaching you how to make 5 adorable Mother’s Day cards.  Bring your scissors and adhesive and Judi will provide the rest of the supplies.


Shadowbox Quilt Class
Sue Kinner will teach you how to make this very pretty 68” X 81” quilt.  Sign up today before all the seats are taken!

 
Mixed Media Canvas Class
It’s time to play! Learn how to create texture and incorporate other media like fabric and found objects on a 9 x 12 canvas. You’ll leave with a versatile work of art that you’ll be proud to display. Class fee of $35 includes all materials. Advance registration required, space is limited. (Note:  The photo of this class is a sample of a mixed media canvas…this is not the actual canvas you will make in class.  Judi Vrieling will provide a sample for the shop soon!)

 
Beginning Counted Cross Stitch Class
Rebecca will teach you the basics to cross stitching.  Beware!  Cross stitching is fun to do and can become addictive


Demo Wednesday
Join us for a demo of a fabulous new tool in our shop.  You will love it!

 

Rag Quilt Class
This is a beginner-friendly quilt class, or for anyone who has always wanted to learn how to make a rag quilt.  Sign up for this class today!

 
Round Robin Classes
Saturday the 21^st will be a fun day consisting of three stations that the students rotate around to.  Stations will include sewing really cute and EASY pillow cases with Bonnie Butz, learning to string beautiful beaded bracelets with Holly Cox, and making an adorable boxed assortment of greeting cards with DeAnn Rauzi…and yes, you will even construct the box!


 
It’s A Wrap Basket Class
Jolene will teach you how to make really cute baskets out of fabric and clothesline rope.  Be thinking of what colors you want to make your basket, sign up and come join the fun!

Block of the Month:
We only have two of these gorgeous BOM's left so if you would like one, give us a ring, email us or pop in to the shop and we'll set it up for you. Yes, we will mail it to you too if you need us too. :-)   Cost is $15 per month for 13 months and it includes the patterns and fabric for the quilt top, border and binding. We don't include the threads. **Our quilt block of the month is in a different color scheme**


Name the Mannequin contest!  Home Grown Quilts has a new addition to our shop, and she needs a name, so email, call or come on in and submit a name.  The winner of the chosen name will win $10 of merchandise at Home Grown Quilts, plus you get to have your photo with the Mannequin posted on our blogsite!
