Classes and Specials!

Hi Quilters! Our bi-annual quilt walk is coming up September 11th! This year we have a fun quilt challenge that everyone is invited to participate in. We decided that this year we will have everyone use the same quilt pattern- but you get to decide what fabrics to make it in. The quilt pattern is called Patch Party.  You've still got time to make it!  We can see people using stark contrasting fabrics, scrappy fabrics, batiks, ohhh man... so many wonderful images pop into mind. I can't wait to see what you come up with.  So how do you participate?  Just come into Home Grown Quilts and purchase your pattern. We will give you 15% off of the pattern and any fabrics you pick to make your quilt with.  At our quilt walk we will display all of the finished quilts together and let people vote on their favorite. The winner will get a fun prize!  Also, speaking of the quilt walk- WE NEED YOUR QUILTS!!!! (pretty please)  We would love to show off your lovely works of art at our show.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As classes start back up again we are asking you to please respect people's health. If you are unwell, been tested for Covid, or been exposed to people with Covid-  please don't attend class. We understand not wanting to miss a fun learning and social experience, but it is unfair to put others at risk.   If you need to cancel attending a class, we will be delighted to try to reschedule the class for a future date.  ----------------------------------------------------------------- Check out Husqvarna Viking Specials for July.  Come in and play with our machines and see why Husqvarna Viking is the best in the industry! -------------------------------------------------------------------- We do Sewing Machine repair and Scissor Sharpening in house!  Don't forget after you finish working your machine for hours and hours, bring it on in to Roy for a good cleaning. A clean machine is a happy (and hard working) machine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EVERY TUESDAY IS FREE OPEN SEW DAY AT BOTH HOME GROWN QUILTS LOCATIONS!! 10AM- 5PM!!!     Classes NOTE:  All class supplies purchased through Home Grown Quilts is 15% off with your paid class fee…sweet deal right? A few things with classes to be mindful of: *If you have your project cut out- you will be able to spend class time learning and working on your project, rather than spending all of your time cutting. You will be much more excited about your projects if you are more prepared.  * Classes are a retreat- for a lot of people it's therapy of sorts. It's a time to have fun, learn together, and relax (unless you have a seam ripper in hand.) - Please be respectful of your fellow retreaters. While we love kids, and we have lots of them ourselves- most small children (such as toddlers/pre-k) seem to find our classes a bit boring. We have had some class members vocalize the frustration it brings when a relaxing class gets not so relaxing because of small people being unhappy or bored.  Let's let everyone have a happy experience! We'd love to get a sewcial going but need at least 6 people committed to get it started.** Fiber Friends Gathering Grangeville: Saturday, July 10th @ 10-1 Saturday August 14th @ 10-1 Class Fee: Free Come join us for a fun and FREE no-host open day for you to engage with like-minded folks such as Knitters,  Crocheters, Spinners, Tatters, Weavers, Felters, Cross stitchers and anything in-between.   Share your knowledge and skills with each other, ask questions, engage in conversation, and learn new things!  We will offer Fiber Friends at least monthly.   Polychromatic Quilt/ Pillow Class Grangeville: Saturday, July 24th @ 10-3 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  This simple quilt comes together quickly. Come make a bright quilt full of sunshine and hope for your home.  Santa in the Trees Quilt Class Grangeville: Saturday, July 31st @ 10-3 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  It's Christmas in July! This quilt has simple piecing and a sweet appliqued Santa. Come learn to make this simple quilt with us.  Plain and Fancy Quilt Class Grangeville: Saturday, September 26th @ 10-3 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  You will love making this quilt... there is just something about simple Dresden Plates and Ohio Stars that make our hearts flutter.  We will see you soon!
