Hi Quilters! You're Invited:  4th BIANNUAL OUTDOOR QUILT & ART SHOW! Save the date! Saturday, Sept 11th 9am-4pm is our 4th Biannual Outdoor Quilt and Art Show! Bring your family and walk around beautiful downtown Grangeville where you can visit with Artist showing/selling their arts, and see 300+quilts hanging up and down Main Street! Quilt related demo booths, sidewalk chalk art, free quilting advice booth, quilt painted rocks, painted barn quilts booth, AND our awesome quilt scavenger hunt for prizes! If you are unwell, been tested for Covid, or been exposed to people with Covid-  please don't attend class. A few things with classes to be mindful of: *If you have your project cut out- you will be able to spend class time learning and working on your project, rather than spending all of your time cutting. You will be much more excited about your projects if you are more prepared.  * Classes are a retreat- for a lot of people it's therapy of sorts. It's a time to have fun, learn together, and relax (unless you have a seam ripper in hand.) - Please be respectful of your fellow retreaters. While we love kids, and we have lots of them ourselves- most small children (such as toddlers/pre-k) seem to find our classes a bit boring. We have had some class members vocalize the frustration it brings when a relaxing class gets not so relaxing because of small people being unhappy or bored.  Let's let everyone have a happy experience! Milbank Runner Class Lewiston: Thursday Aug 26th @ 10-1 Instructor: Gayle Schaad Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  Dig deep into your stash, or let us help you find a cool color combination at our shop ? have fun creating your own version ? make one, then another! There is always a perfect occasion for a table runner. Bring a friend and come play! Approximate finished size: 15 x 42 Beginning Quilting Class (6 week course)  Lewiston Location: Evening Class starting Monday August 30th @ 5:15-8:15pm Instructor: Jody Hoogland Daytime Class Starting Wednesday September 1st  @ 10am-1pm Instructor: Gayle Schaad Class Fee: $90 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  Yay!  The Beginning Quilting Course is here again!  Students will learn step-by-step how to construct a quilt, including selecting fabrics for your quilt project, piecing, borders, binding, and even machine quilting (stitch in the ditch).  Come to Home Grown Quilts to see samples of the quilt you will be making!  NOTE:  Students must know how to use their sewing machines prior to class starting.  It is also highly recommended that students bring a quarter inch foot and a walking foot to class.  See class handout for further information. Spool Table Runner Class ** Grangeville: Friday September 24th @ 10-3 Instructor: Tindy Hunter Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  Come learn to make this darling spool table topper. We will be using this topper in the Edge to Edge Quilting Embroidery class on October 1st.  You can make this topper to correspond with the In the Hoop Edge to Edge quilting class, or just make it to have a fun and cute project.  Use your scraps or use one of our darling batik fat quarter bundles. Either way- you will love your results.   Plain and Fancy Quilt Class Grangeville: Saturday, September 25th @ 10-3 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  You will love making this quilt... there is just something about simple Dresden Plates and Ohio Stars that make our hearts flutter.  In The Hoop End to End Quilting Class Grangeville: Friday, October 1st @ 10-3 Instructor: Tindy Hunter Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  Now is the time for you learn to use your embroidery machine to do edge to edge quilting. Come expand your tool box with this useful technique.  Bring your finished spool table topper or another small finished project and go to town.  In The Hoop Main Street Celebration Pillow Grangeville: Friday, October 8th  @ 10-3 Instructor: Tindy Hunter Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  Come learn how to make this darling quilted bench pillow with twinkling lights. Use your embroidery machine to learn some new techniques.  You'll have this project done just in time for Veteran's day!  Boo! You will love piecing together this little lap quilt.  Glampin' Quilt Class Grangeville: Friday, October 22nd @ 5-8:30pm  Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  Come learn how to make this darling quilt- simple stars, vintage campers and cars, and tree blocks  come together in one magical quilt.  Izzie Convertible Backpack Grangeville: Friday, October 29th @ 10-3 Instructor: Tindy Hunter Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  This fun backpack converts to a cross-body bag, has a top handle and adjustable strap, has side magnetic snaps, has interior zip pockets and slip pockets, and a magnetic snap flap closure too. In short- it's a great backpack that will fit all of your needs.  Come join Tindy as she helps you build this backpack. Luxie Lunch Bag Class Grangeville: Saturday November 13th @ 10-3 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  Make it with insul-brite for a lunch bag, use wipeable vinyl and make it your make-up bag, plop your next quilting project inside, or use it as a handbag- this bag is SO versatile!  This project uses a wire frame that helps hold the top open wide for easy access to all of your stuff.  Come join along and make this fun, new, and very useable project.  We will see you soon!
