March is the last chance this year we are giving you the chance to FINISH some of your projects that are just sitting in the corner begging to be finished.... with the possibility of a finish line prize
It doesn't matter the stage of your object. It could be that you have just cut it out.... it could be that you just need to bind the thing... we don't care.. we just want to empower you to get things done at whatever stage.

March is your last month to bring in up to 3 UFO's no later than the 10th to register them for $1 each.  Return with any or all of them completed by the last day of the month and for each one finished your name will be entered into a drawing. We'll draw a name each month and the winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to the shop! Just think.... if you play for all three months you could finish up to nine projects.... and maybe win $150 to shop at Home Grown Quilts.

For quilters, UFOs may be quilts, table runners, or wall hangings or purses, etc... - no size restrictions. For knitters and crocheters, anything unfinished on the day of registration is eligible. For Cross-Stitchers/Embroidery peeps- bring anything in that is unfinished.

We will even give you another incentive to join our UFO challenge: We'll give you 15% off of any supplies you might need to finish up that project you've been keeping in the naughty corner.

Congratulations to our February winner: Teri Small!!

We  look forward to seeing what everyone brings in for the challenge!

WHY YES WE DID!!  We've booked 4 different quilt retreats for 2022!  We have a spring and summer retreat like we usually do at Trinity Pines Camp & Conference Center in Cascade, Idaho, which we  love.  We have added another quilt retreat location in Post Falls, Idaho, which sits on the Spokane River that we know you will love too.
We would love to have an idea of how many of you are interested as soon as possible in any of these retreats so we can plan accordingly.  No matter which retreat(s) you choose, they are all the same cost of $385 which includes 3 nights, 4 days, motel room, common room for quilting, and catered meals.  All retreats are Monday through Thursday. Due to new rules at the facilities all retreats are non-refundable.   See photos below of the facilities...We know you'll like them!
New Important Update:
We just found out that the Ashley Inn at Cascade, Idaho has been bought out by a large motel chain and they are remodeling.  They are turning the Tamarack room (where we sewed) into a breakfast room, and turning their downstairs breakfast room into a wine room.  They will not have anywhere to host large gatherings anymore.  SO, we have booked our Cascade retreats back at Trinity Pines, which doesn't make us sad, as it is a very nice and fun place to retreat at.  Miraculously, the only two weeks available are very close to what the dates we earmarked for our spring and August retreats in Cascade.  we are hoping the costs haven't changed, and am still waiting for more information from Trinity Pines on that.  If all of you could please check your calendars to confirm if you are still coming, that would be really helpful. Our NEW dates for Cascade are below:

APRIL 11-14, 2022. - Ross Point, Post Falls, ID
MAY 2-5, 2022 - Trinity Pines, Cascade, ID
AUG 29- Sept 1, 2022 - Trinity Pines,  Cascade, ID
OCT 3-6, 2022, Ross Point, Post Falls, ID

Classes
NOTE:  All class supplies purchased through Home Grown Quilts is 15% off with your paid class fee…sweet deal right?

A few things with classes to be mindful of:
*If you have your project cut out- you will be able to spend class time learning and working on your project, rather than spending all of your time cutting. You will be much more excited about your projects if you are more prepared.
Classes are a retreat- for a lot of people it's therapy of sorts. It's a time to have fun, learn together, and relax (unless you have a seam ripper in hand.) - Please be respectful of your fellow retreaters. While we love kids, and we have lots of them ourselves- most small children (such as toddlers/pre-k) seem to find our classes a bit boring. We have had some class members vocalize the frustration it brings when a relaxing class gets not so relaxing because of small people being unhappy or bored.  Let's let everyone have a happy experience! Unless a child is an active participant of the class, please try and find a different place for them to hang out.

**Or if you don't want to make the runner bring a project that you need quilted! **

So…What Are Clear Blue Tiles?

Clear Blue Tiles are a complete system for quilting on your home embroidery machine. The stitching goes through all three layers of a quilt sandwich (back fabric, batting, and top fabric), with traditional, continuous quilting on both sides of your project. Clear Blue Tiles help you (easily!) achieve the look of custom quilting in-the-hoop, without having to worry about math formulas or carefully lining up the elements of a design. It all just flows, like you’d used a long-arm machine!

And all you do is place your tile(s), mark your fabric, and choose the embroidery file to match the size. Clear Blue Tiles have the same scale as all of the coordinating embroidery designs, so you can use a variety of tiles on the same project for professional, finished results.

Kimberbell's exclusive background quilting designs include swirls, loops, border swirls, border loops, and delightful variations for winter, spring, summer, and fall. Also included are six “Bitty Blocks,” 2×2” designs that can be used in corners or as fun surprises in your quilting. With all of the designs and file sizes, there are 372 total quilting files included on the Clear Blue Tiles USB, and the Seasonal Table Runner gives you the chance to discover and delight in all the possibilities.
