New Classes for you!

 

Hi Quilters! Our bi-annual quilt walk is coming up September 11th! This year we have a fun quilt challenge that everyone is invited to participate in. We decided that this year we will have everyone use the same quilt pattern- but you get to decide what fabrics to make it in. The quilt pattern is called Patch Party.  We can see people using stark contrasting fabrics, scrappy fabrics, batiks, ohhh man... so many wonderful images pop into mind. I can't wait to see what you come up with.  So how do you participate?  Just come into Home Grown Quilts and purchase your pattern. We will give you 15% off of the pattern and any fabrics you pick to make your quilt with.  At our quilt walk we will display all of the finished quilts together and let people vote on their favorite. The winner will get a fun prize!  As classes start back up again we are asking you to please respect people's health. If you are unwell, been tested for Covid, or been exposed to people with Covid-  please don't attend class. We understand not wanting to miss a fun learning and social experience, but it is unfair to put others at risk.   If you need to cancel attending a class, we will be delighted to try to reschedule the class for a future date.  ----------------------------------------------------------------- Check out Husqvarna Viking Specials for May. A few things with classes to be mindful of: *If you have your project cut out- you will be able to spend class time learning and working on your project, rather than spending all of your time cutting. You will be much more excited about your projects if you are more prepared.  * Classes are a retreat- for a lot of people it's therapy of sorts. It's a time to have fun, learn together, and relax (unless you have a seam ripper in hand.) - Please be respectful of your fellow retreaters. While we love kids, and we have lots of them ourselves- most small children (such as toddlers/pre-k) seem to find our classes a bit boring. We have had some class members vocalize the frustration it brings when a relaxing class gets not so relaxing because of small people being unhappy or bored.  Let's let everyone have a happy experience! Use your embroidery machine to learn some new techniques Glampin' Quilt Class Grangeville: Saturday, June 19th @ 10-3  Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  Come learn how to make this darling quilt- simple stars, vintage campers and cars, and tree blocks  come together in one magical quilt.  Polychromatic Quilt/ Pillow Class Grangeville: Saturday, July 24th @ 10-3 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  This simple quilt comes together quickly. Come make a bright quilt full of sunshine and hope for your home.  Santa in the Trees Quilt Class Grangeville: Saturday, July 31st @ 10-3 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  It's Christmas in July! This quilt has simple piecing and a sweet appliqued Santa. Come learn to make this simple quilt with us.  We will see you soon!
