**Each class has a Supply List. There may be
additional class costs for special sewing supplies, such as patterns, or
special rulers, etc. Fabric requirements will be listed. Once you register for your class and receive
your Supply List, you will qualify to receive a 15% discount on all required
supplies. To receive the discount, you must have your Supply
List with you when you make your purchase. NOTE: Students are
required to have their own patterns and tools during classes. This
enables the classes to stay on the curriculum schedule rather than having the
class wait while students borrow supplies from each other.**

Start with an amazingly cool bowl to learn the technique. Then experiment with

Yay! The Beginning
Quilting Course is finally here!
Students will learn step-by-step how to construct a quilt, including
selecting fabrics for your quilt project, piecing, borders, binding, and even
machine quilting (itch in the ditch).
Come to Home Grown Quilts to see samples of the quilt you will be
making! NOTE: Students must know how to use their sewing
machines prior to class starting. It is
also highly recommended that students bring a quarter inch foot and a walking
foot to class. See class handout for
further information. These classes are filling up fast, so you might want to hurry
and sign up!
Whirlwynd Quilt

This quilt is square friendly, meaning if you happen to have a
fabric stash, you can dive in and simply start cutting squares…or if you
prefer, we have kits available! This
quilt requires the Creative Grids Ruler “Straight Out Of Line” (the same ruler
that you may have used on the green & black “Fresh Cut” quilt). Come play!

Are you interested in learning techniques to create a
fiber art wall hanging? Jennifer will
guide you through the process of creating a unique background with fabrics,
felt, threads and fibers. To embellish
your art piece, you will learn techniques for creating flowers, stems, leaves,
tree bark or branches, rock or other elements of nature.
For class you will need:
small scraps of fabric, yarns, roving, gauze or any kind of fibers, felt
in the color you want for your project background (about 10”x12”) and the
backing (12”x14”), small amount of fiberfill, threads for your project, hand
sewing needle; sewing machine with the ability to do free motion.
