**Each class has a Supply List. There may be additional class costs for special sewing supplies, such as patterns, or special rulers, etc.  Fabric requirements will be listed.  Once you register for your class and receive your Supply List, you will qualify to receive a 15% discount on all required supplies. To receive the discount, you must have your Supply List with you when you make your purchase.   NOTE:  Students are required to have their own patterns and tools during classes.  This enables the classes to stay on the curriculum schedule rather than having the class wait while students borrow supplies from each other.**

Bring whatever you are working on…quilting, hand sewing, knitting, crocheting and a maybe a friend or two, and come play with us!  We typically enjoy a warm loaf of fresh bread and honey butter, and plenty of fun conversation and laughter.

“Fill ‘er Up” Table Runner Class

Sat, Sept 7^th @ 10-3pm

Fill Er Up with your favorite beverage - coffee, tea, cappuccino or hot cocoa! We've included a heart swirl of cream, floating marshmallows, a dollop of whipped cream and a tea bag tag to top off a group of fun and whimsical place mats for year-round use.

Top Hat Snowman Pillow Class

This super fun and adorable pillow class will teach you to machine applique using felt.

It’s A Wrap Class

Fri, Sept 13^th @ 5-8pm

Instructor:  Ann Wilponen (from Newport, WA)

Wrap, wind, and sew fabric strips into fantastic containers! Start with an amazingly cool bowl to learn the technique. Then experiment with 4 basic container styles to create, round, oval, square, and other shapes. Create purses, baskets, and bowls and coasters in an endless variety.

Class Fee: $25 + pattern book & supplies.

Stepping Stones Quilt Class

Sat, Sept 14^th@ 10am-3pm

Finished size 60” x 68” or can enlarge quilt with an additional set of pre-printed foundation paper.

This is a gorgeous Judy Niemeyer pattern which includes easy cutting instructions using 2-1/2in x 42in strips, and foundation paper.  You will learn to do Foundation Piecing which is really fun to do.

All That Glitters Quilt Class

The newest Stonehenge Christmas fabric line and pattern from Northcott!  This amazing quilt actually lights up using a string of battery operated Christmas lights.  It is the coolest thing.ever!!

Beginning Quilting Course

Beginning Sept 23rd through Oct 12th

Daytime:  Mondays/Thursdays @ 9am to noon

Evening:  Mondays/Thursdays @ 5:30p to 8:30p

PLUS a combined class on Sat, Oct 19^th @ 9am to 2pm.

Class Fee: $90 + supplies. 
Skill Level:  Very Beginner

Yay!  The Beginning Quilting Course is finally here!  Students will learn step-by-step how to construct a quilt, including selecting fabrics for your quilt project, piecing, borders, binding, and even machine quilting (itch in the ditch).  Come to Home Grown Quilts to see samples of the quilt you will be making!  NOTE:  Students must know how to use their sewing machines prior to class starting.  It is also highly recommended that students bring a quarter inch foot and a walking foot to class.  See class handout for further information.  These classes are filling up fast, so you might want to hurry and sign up!

Whirlwynd Quilt Class

Sat, Sep 28^th  @ 10-3pm

Instructor:  Arlene Perrine

This quilt is square friendly, meaning if you happen to have a fabric stash, you can dive in and simply start cutting squares…or if you prefer, we have kits available!    This quilt requires the Creative Grids Ruler “Straight Out Of Line” (the same ruler that you may have used on the green & black “Fresh Cut” quilt).  Come play!

Finished quilt size:  61” x 74”

Ironing Board Cover Class

Instructor:  Sandy Blankenship (from Clearwater)

Ironing will be a little more fun when you have something pretty to iron on!  This class was such a hit last year, that we are offering it again per your request!  Grab a Jelly Roll, sign up for the class, and let the fun begin :o)

Fall Shop Hop!

Easy Strip Table Runner Class

The easiest project you will ever make…5 seams and the top is finished!  No need for binding, the magic is the 60 degree triangle ruler!

Fiber Art Techniques Class

Sat, Nov 2^nd @ 10am-3pm

Instructor:  Jennifer Witted (from Clarkston, WA)

Are you interested in learning techniques to create a fiber art wall hanging?  Jennifer will guide you through the process of creating a unique background with fabrics, felt, threads and fibers.   To embellish your art piece, you will learn techniques for creating flowers, stems, leaves, tree bark or branches, rock or other elements of nature.

For class you will need:  small scraps of fabric, yarns, roving, gauze or any kind of fibers, felt in the color you want for your project background (about 10”x12”) and the backing (12”x14”), small amount of fiberfill, threads for your project, hand sewing needle; sewing machine with the ability to do free motion.

Sweet Things Quilt Class

In this class you will learn to make flawless Flying Geese using Bloc Loc rulers…which are the BOMB!  These rulers are selling like hotcakes because they work so well.  Sign up and see what we mean!

INTRODUCING OUR MONTHLY PURSENALITIES CLUB!  We will be offering fun monthly bag/purse/tote classes…woohoo!  Our classes will always be $10 each, HOWEVER the more Pursenalities classes you take, the more you save.  For example:

Pursenalities class #1 = $10, class #2 = $9, class #3 = $8…etc., until your 11^th and 12^th classes are FREE!  Here is your first Pursenalities class:

Little Jelly Bags Class

Quilted Flowers Class

Instructor:  Carol Lohrenz and Norma Devous (from Eagle, ID)

The technique of drawing your design with thread, using color crayons, and embellishments to create a picture worth framing!  This is a two-class course.

Machine Quilting Class

You too can machine quilt!  That’s right…install your darning foot, drop those feed dogs and see what you and your sewing machine can do!   Learn how to beautifully finish quilts on your sewing machine.  You'll learn straight stitching and free-motion quilting techniques: straight lines and crosshatching, stippling, swirly vines, interchanging vine, allover swirls, single and double echoing, and pebbles.  This class fills up fast, so sign up early!

Pretty Peppermint Quilt Class

A new twist on an old-fashioned block with these modern, yet scrappy Dresden Plates. A wedge and circle template is included or you can use the EZ Easy Dresden™ ruler as a quick cutting tool.

Sew-Ciety Guild meetings

Every 1^st & 3^rd Tues evenings, 7:30pm to 9pm

Come join us!...everyone is welcome to join.  The Guild dues are only $15 per year and we meet at Home Grown Quilts.  NOTE:  Tues, July 16^th is the Guild’s annual summer picnic at Grangeville City Park.  Bring a dish, a chair and enjoy some fun company!
