Class This Friday and Saturday

 

Hi Quilters!

We have a class this Friday and Saturday at the Grangeville shop location. We are a few students short and our teacher is coming from out of town. If you are interested in coming to this class please let us know ASAP- either by replying to this email or calling 208-983-0254 . This is a great technique to put in your tool box that you can either use multiple of the same panel or a panel and coordinating fabrics.

Panel One- Block Wonder Class
TWO DAY CLASS
Grangeville : Friday and Saturday August 28 & 29
9-5 pm on Friday and 9-3 on Saturday
Instructor: Ann Wilponen
Class Fee: $20 (or $10 with class pass) + Supplies 
Approx size depends on size of panel. This is fun wonder block technique using panels, which turns your panels into something magical!  You can choose to use multiples of an identical panel or just use one panel and coordinating fabrics.... both will bring you endless results! Bring a friend and come play.
Includes lunch & snacks each day!




**Each class has a Supply List. There may be additional class costs for special sewing supplies, such as patterns, or special rulers, etc.  Fabric requirements will be listed.  Once you register for your class and receive your Supply List, you will qualify to receive a 15% discount on all required supplies. To receive the discount, you must have your Supply List with you when you make your purchase.   NOTE:  Students are required to have their own patterns and tools during classes.  This enables the classes to stay on the curriculum schedule rather than having the class wait while students borrow supplies from each other.**

We will be hosting a FREE Kimberbell Mystery Sew Along in both our Lewiston and Grangeville locations every FRIDAY in August 10am-5pm, and you can choose machine embroidery or sewing version.. A few things with classes to be mindful of: *If you have your project cut out- you will be able to spend class time learning and working on your project, rather than spending all of your time cutting. You will be much more excited about your projects if you are a bit more prepared.  * Classes are a retreat- for a lot of people it's therapy of sorts. It's a time to have fun, learn together, and relax (unless you have a seam ripper in hand.) - Please be respectful of your fellow retreaters. While we love kids, and we have lots of them ourselves- most small children (such as toddlers/pre-k) seem to find our classes a bit boring. We have had some class members vocalize the frustration it brings when a relaxing class gets not so relaxing because of small people being unhappy or bored.  Let's let everyone have a happy experience! Unless a child is an active participant of the class, please try and find a different place for them to hang out.  Hoop Sisters Machine Embroidery Classes Lewiston: Friday August 7th @ 10-5 /Saturday August 8th @10-3 Instructor: Brian Medsker Class Fee: $35 fee for collection of embroidery files and $10 class fee (Class fee is waived if you have a class pass)   Come join us for our HoopSister Retreat Classes! You can pick from any of our available Retreat themes from 2018-2019! Make this class into what you want it to be! We have two dates available each month for you to come and do these HoopSister retreats. You can come in one or both days- whatever works best for your schedule. Below are examples of what you can choose- but we have so many more designs available too! As with all of our embroidery classes, this is a great way to get to know your machine better and make amazing things! Grids and Grommets Bag Class  Grangeville: Saturday August 15th @ 10-3 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman  Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  The Grids & Grommets Bag is a versatile style offered in two styles. Make the large version as a tote or the smaller bag as an attractive purse. It incorporates grommets for closing and an easy technique to create a comfortable handle. Construct it from a plain fabric using an interesting quilting pattern or piece the bag incorporating your favorite jelly roll fabric (2 1/2" wide strips) coordinates. Double the straps over your shoulder or convert it to a single strap across your body for security and convenience. Pattern includes large and small purse in both a quilted and jelly roll variations. Beginning Quilting Class (6 week course)  Lewiston Location:  Daytime Class Starting Wednesday August 19th @ 10am-1pm Evening Class Starting Monday September 14th @ 5:15-8:15 Grangeville Location:  Evening Class Starting Wednesday September 16th @ 5:15-8:15 Instructor: Jody Hoogland and Gayle Shaad Class Fee: $75 + Supplies (Comes with a complimentary 6 month Class Pass) Call the shop for more details! 208-983-0254 Yay!  The Beginning Quilting Course is here again!  Students will learn step-by-step how to construct a quilt, including selecting fabrics for your quilt project, piecing, borders, binding, and even machine quilting (stitch in the ditch).  Come to Home Grown Quilts to see samples of the quilt you will be making!  NOTE:  Students must know how to use their sewing machines prior to class starting.  It is also highly recommended that students bring a quarter inch foot and a walking foot to class.  See class handout for further information. Sprinkles Quilt Class Grangeville: Tuesday August 18th @ 10-3 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  This quilt is darling and is a perfect way to use up your 2 1/2" Strip stash. No Y-seams Easy pattern for a confident beginner Sew Organized Class Grangeville: Friday September 18th@ 5:30-8:30 Instructor:  Breezi Kohrman  Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  A cute practical way to organize your sewing essentials and have them right at your fingertips. Comes together easily. This would make a great gift! Christmas Fun Quilt Class Grangeville: Saturday September 26th @ 10-3 Instructor:  Breezi Kohrman  Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  Yes, it's time to think of Christmas projects.... This super cute twin size cute is fun and festive for the holidays. Simple piecing and chain stitching makes this come together quick! You'll love this! Hip Chicks Quilt Class NEW DATE Lewiston:  Tuesday October 20th @ 10:30-2:30 Instructor: Breezi Kohrman Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  This darling quilt has super cute 3D elements  to it- and fun peek-a-boo prairie points. Super easy with lots of fun.   Simple Sack Bag Class NEW DATE Lewiston:  Tuesday October 27th @ 10:30-2 Instructor:  Breezi Kohrman  Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies  These handy eco friendly shopping bags are quick to make, sturdy, and fold up into a convenient pouch.
