Classes
NOTE: All class supplies purchased through Home Grown Quilts is 15% off with your paid class fee…sweet deal right?
A few things with classes to be mindful of:
*If you have your project cut out-
you will be able to spend class time learning and working on your
project, rather than spending all of your time cutting. You will be much
more excited about your projects if you are more prepared.
* Classes are a retreat- for a lot of people it's therapy of sorts. It's a time to have fun, learn together, and relax (unless you have a seam ripper in hand.)
- Please be respectful of your fellow retreaters. While we love kids,
and we have lots of them ourselves- most small children (such as toddlers/pre-k)
seem to find our classes a bit boring. We have had some class members
vocalize the frustration it brings when a relaxing class gets not so
relaxing because of small people being unhappy or bored. Let's let
everyone have a happy experience! Unless a child is an active
participant of the class, please try and find a different place for them
to hang out.
Grangeville: Friday, May 10th @ 5- Midnight
Grangeville: Friday, June 14th @ 5- Midnight
Grangeville: Friday, July 12th @ 5- Midnight
Grangeville: Friday, August 9th @ 5- Midnight

Quick note
about Sewcial, if you sign up for Sewcial, please keep your commitment.
We prepare food for you, and in some cases we have to turn others away
due to lack of space. It isn't considerate or fair all around if you
don't show up. We totally understand that sometimes even with the best
intentions, things come up and you have to bow out- but please let us
know right away if you aren't able to attend.
The
Cost of Friday Night Sewcial is $10. For your $10 you will receive
DINNER and $5 in store credit (good for that night only).
** For you Lewiston/Clarkston peeps- if a
Friday Night Sewcial is something you would be interested in having,
please call our Lewiston Shop- 208-743-0503 and let us know! We'd love
to get a sewcial going but need at least 6 people committed to get it
started.**
Introducing:
Home Grown Quilt's 2025 Quilt Walk Challenge Quilt
Sedona
by Sew Kind of Wonderful- Using the Quick Curve MINI ruler
Grangeville: This class will take place the 2nd Saturday of each month for 11 months-
Saturday, June 8th @ 10-1
Saturday, July 13th @ 10-1
Saturday, August 10th @ 10-1
etc....
Instructor: Breezi Kohrman
Class Fee: FREE if you are participating in shop challenge and have purchased your class supplies at Home Grown Quilts
Are you ready to hear about our quilt walk
challenge quilt??? Meet my favorite new quilt, Sedona. She's a curvy
girl that's still got some edgy spots. I have drooled over every
different way she has been made.
The pattern has two different layouts - Sedona Trails 63" X 68" (see the
black/white example where the blocks are in simple rows)
and Sedona Sky 83" X 103" (See the teal/lime/coral/grey example where the blocks are scattered)
YOU get to decide which of the quilt layouts you want to make. They are
both utterly gorgeous- but there is a significant size difference
between the two.
This is a color challenge too. When
you come and sign up to make this quilt- you will also draw a random
color crayon out of a paper bag. That color just has to be represented SOMEWHERE
in the quilt. If you love the color you have drawn, you may want to
make it a main theme- if you draw a color that might not float your boat
as much- put it in one block, the binding, on the backing, or somewhere
creative.
In this pattern there are 11 different blocks (hence the 11 different
classes- one for each block, in the order the book has them in.)
6 blocks have curves and are made with the Sew Kind of Wonderful Quick
Curve MINI ruler. 5 blocks are just regular ol' traditional blocks with
all straight seams and no curves.
Each month I will be hosting a class to teach you how to make the block
of the month. While this may look like a difficult quilt- we are making
this quilt in bite-sized pieces that won't overwhelm you, but hopefully
be purely a delight to make.
ohh... you want to hear about prizes?
Each month you come to the class- you get a ticket to put in the jar. (up to 11 entries)
Each month you finish up the required blocks from the last month's
assignment - you get to put a ticket in the jar. (up to 11 entries)
If you use the color that you drew from the crayon challenge in your quilt- you get a ticket in the jar (1 entry)
If you finish your quilt and let us use it in the quilt walk on Saturday, September 6th 2025 you get a ticket in the jar (1 entry)
What if your ticket gets drawn?!?
YOU WIN A FREE CUSTOM QUILT JOB courtesy of Jody Hoogland - worth up to $250+
Plus we'll probably have random prizes each month during the class too.
Are you excited to try a new challenge?!
Check out some of these ideas:
(and if you are needing additional color ideas for this quilt- be sure
to check out instagram, pinterest, and google- they are AMAZING and
inspiring!)

Instructor: Tindy Hunter
Class Fee: $10 (or FREE with class pass) + Supplies
Using the House Seasonal Runner, we will use the Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles to quilt our project.
**Or if you don't want to make the runner bring a project that you need quilted! **
So…What Are Clear Blue Tiles?
Clear Blue Tiles are
a complete system for quilting on your home embroidery machine. The
stitching goes through all three layers of a quilt sandwich (back
fabric, batting, and top fabric), with traditional, continuous quilting
on both sides of your project. Clear Blue Tiles help you (easily!)
achieve the look of custom quilting in-the-hoop, without having to worry
about math formulas or carefully lining up the elements of a design. It
all just flows, like you’d used a long-arm machine!
And
all you do is place your tile(s), mark your fabric, and choose the
embroidery file to match the size. Clear Blue Tiles have the same scale
as all of the coordinating embroidery designs, so you can use a variety
of tiles on the same project for professional, finished results.
Kimberbell's exclusive background quilting designs include swirls,
loops, border swirls, border loops, and delightful variations for
winter, spring, summer, and fall. Also included are six “Bitty Blocks,”
2×2” designs that can be used in corners or as fun surprises in your
quilting. With all of the designs and file sizes, there are 372 total quilting files included
on the Clear Blue Tiles USB, and the Seasonal Table Runner gives you
the chance to discover and delight in all the possibilities.
