Diary Quilt:

Consider joining a group of women who will be meeting monthly to show and tell blocks that we each make for our own Diary Quilt.  These blocks will be of your own design, or you can choose to use the block suggestions out of "A Quilter's Diary" book.  Each block will make up our traditions, heritages and things that are meaningful in our lives, to eventually tell our story.  Our individually finished quilts will be an heirloom legacy that you can pass along to your posterity if you wish.  If you would like to participate in a wonderful, meaningful experience to share with other quilters, then this is the group for you!  Contact Jody at Home Grown Quilts for more information, or to sign up.

Sew-cials:
Come and sit and sew with company and enjoy a hot loaf of raisin or banana bread.  Call us to book your place.
Thursdays of every month: 10am – 2pm
1st Friday of every month: 5pm – midnight
2nd Friday of every month: 5pm - midnight

Quilts of Valor

Photo by: Melisa Bryant of Ida-Lew Economic Development

The Camas Prairie quilting guild called Sew-ciety, participates in Quilts of Valor.

The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover ALL combat service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.
This foundation is not about politics. It's about people.

**********************************************
There are so many areas where you are needed to help serve our veterans who served us.
*We can use all who sew.
- If you want to sew the top of the quilt, you can.
-If you want just to bind the quilts, you can.
-If you just want to sew some squares, you can.
-If you want to finish the whole quilt, you certainly can do that too.
*We can use fabric donations (red/white/blue).
*We can use donation of time
-Make kits.
-iron quilt tops.
*We can use monetary donations.
-Home Grown Quilts will use them to purchase fabric at wholesale prices, so quilters can come in and just pick out fabric and a pattern, then go and make a quilt.
*If you own a quilting machine, we can use your donation of quilting services.
*If you own an embroidery machine, we can use your donation to make labels for the quilts.

Basically, if you are willing to be of service, we have things you can do, even if you aren't a "quilter".

The Sew-ciety quilt guild meets here at Home Grown Quilts every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm, or just stop on in whenever you can and we'll put ya to work. :)

-----------------------
There is a fundraising breakfast on Sunday, February 5th from 7am to 1pm at the Eagles in Grangeville.
Tickets for the event are $6 per adult.
Home Grown Quilts is selling tickets for the event.
